Maja is back from Whistler safe and sound . She is very tired but is looking forward to training and her next race . The weather at Whistler was awful rainy and cold . Tommy Mom and Dad were wet right from 6 am on .After taking out all the K2's and the second year K1's Maja was 2nd and 7th of the first year k1's she is off to a fantastic start .

After taking out all of the second year K1's and all the K2's Krystal figures Maja came in second of all the first year K1 girls . Way to go Maja !! Pictures to follow .Soon I hope .

The temperature dropped sharply in the afternoon and I had to steal Dads toque so we were both pretty chilly .

This was the most amazing thing . There were free style aeralist training at Apex when we were there . We could see them flying through the air right from our hotel room. In this picture Dad and I walked up the run to get a closer look . That is a full two story building they are going higher than and the landing is far below .

Apex Mountain after one very very long day we have arrived at last . This was Majas first training trip , my Dad and I chaperoned . There were 20 kids 4 coaches Dad and I . We each had 10 kids on our floor who we made all meals for . It was a real adventure ,good thing the kids were so great as it was a pile of work . Dad and I both had a great time evn though we didn't ski but did get out everyday to watch the kids .

The first day of ski season . Mom Tommy Maja + Sylvi all got up for a full day . This was the day before Dad and I were going with Maja to Apex for Training so we were preparing for that . I managed to sneak up for 3 runs at the end of the day .

This was the hardest moment of my whole bike ride only 20km left to go on the second day but it felt like so much more . It turns out the route is mostly downhill the first day with a big hill at the end but the second day has hour after hour ( or so it felt ) of rolling hills . I don't have a picture of us at the finish line but when I finally finished I was crying tears of joy just to be off my bike . Sounds fun doesn't it ! Well it was , just not right here .

This is when Brenda found us after being lost . Somehow both Brenda and Tracy took wrong turns and followed bikers from another race far off course . Brenda also had a flat tire . Poor Tracy was pushing ahead to get a break before I got there, when she got lost so she ended up biking further and got almost no break at all .
